IPO and Capital Markets Day Coaching in London

What Institutional Investors and Analysts Expect

Consistency across the management team — every presenter telling the same story, the same way
Command of the financial detail — confident, precise answers on numbers and guidance
A credible strategic narrative — beyond the results, why the plan makes sense
Composure under analyst questioning — staying measured when questions get pointed
Polished delivery at scale — presenting to a room, not a single investor

“An excellent speech”

“I could feel that the audience was listening to me…. Two people (separately) ..congratulated me on an excellent speech…. “

Senior Exec, UK Financial Regulator

Where We Help Public and Pre-IPO Companies

  • IPO roadshows — management teams presenting to institutional investors ahead of listing
  • Capital markets days — setting out strategy and financial targets to the market
  • Annual results presentations — presenting full-year or half-year results with confidence
  • Investor and analyst Q&A training — rehearsing the toughest likely questions
  • AGM and annual investor meetings — presenting to shareholders with authority

How IPO and Capital Markets Day Coaching Works

  • A confidential first conversation — about the event, the audience, your goals and the timetable
  • Review of your materials — deck, script or a recording of a previous results presentation
  • Tailored coaching sessions — private, in person or online, working from your real content
  • Full team role play — rehearsing together under realistic analyst and investor questioning
  • A final run-through — refining delivery as a team until the event is ready to go

“It has been a step change for us”

“The new presentation properly represents the institutional quality of our fund. It has been a step change for us.”

Erwin de Kleij, Head of IR, Saemor Capital

Real Results With Public Companies

Our clients over the past year have included public companies preparing capital markets days and results presentations, alongside private companies preparing for a trade sale. We also supported Augentius, a leading fund administration business, on a major financial services pitch, and Saemor Capital, a Dutch hedge fund, ahead of meetings with global institutional investors.

Inside a Capital Markets Day Session

We work with the full management team on message consistency, financial storytelling and handling analyst Q&A as one voice. Coaching includes structured role play built around the toughest, most technical questions your specific investor and analyst audience is likely to ask.

The Problems We Help Management Teams Fix

  • Different presenters telling subtly different versions of the same story
  • Strong content delivered without the polish institutional investors expect
  • Losing composure under detailed or aggressive analyst questioning
  • A results presentation that’s accurate but forgettable
  • A team that hasn’t rehearsed together before a high-profile event

“A great toolbox”

“Good insight and a great toolbox to improve on my presentations and delivery of messages to not only boards, analysts and shareholders but to all audiences”

Neil Pope, CFO, DU

How Far Ahead to Start Preparing for an IPO Roadshow

Most management teams underestimate how long genuine readiness takes. As a general guide, coaching and message alignment should start at least six to eight weeks before a roadshow begins, with full team rehearsals in the final two to three weeks once the story and numbers are locked down. Starting earlier gives the team room to fix weak answers before they’re tested by real investors, rather than discovering them mid-roadshow.

Common Mistakes in Capital Markets Day Presentations

  • Presenters going off-message — straying from agreed language on strategy or guidance
  • Too much detail, not enough narrative — a wall of data with no clear story tying it together
  • Underprepared Q&A — treating the presentation as the main event and the questions as an afterthought
  • Uneven delivery across the team — one strong presenter followed by others who read from the slide
  • No rehearsal under time pressure — running long or rushing the close because the session was never timed
